Leadership

Pastors & Staff

Jimmy & Becky Mast

Lead Pastor

Hi, we are Jimmy and Becky Mast. We are Senior Pastors at LIV. We got married in 1997 and God has blessed us with 3 beautiful children; Damon, Chloe and Mason. As a family we enjoy our time together and are always grateful when we can take a vacation on a beach somewhere. The men of the family enjoy hunting and being outdoors while the ladies usually vote to go shopping instead. We are also bi-vocational and own a retail furniture store.

Over the years God has shown us His Almighty power through miracles of physical healing and spiritual redemption in our lives, and as a family, we have devoted the rest of our lives to daily serve Him and help others to get to know Him better. Our passion is to see transformed lives!

Brennan Mullet

Worship Pastor

In May of 2020, I married my beautiful wife Hailey. It wasn't the wedding we were expecting due to Covid-19, but we are both extremely grateful that we were still able to get married!

Through a number of different events, God called me to serve at Light in the Valley. I am truly grateful to be a part of Light in the Valley and to see what God is doing through the church!
I am very much a social person, so I enjoy hanging out with friends and playing sports. I am out in nature as much as I can be, hiking, biking, exploring the world! Motorcycles are pretty cool too.

Tim and Shelly Miller

Youth Pastors

Tim and Shelly have been married for 22 years and have 2 boys (Jaxon 16 and Damon 14). They live in Sugarcreek and have been attending Light in the Valley since they have been married. Tim delivers lumber and logs for a local company and Shelly is a part time Secretary. They love getting away for short camping trips with friends and family,as well as, heading to the beach for vacation. "Just being together as a family is the best and we look for ways to do so often."

LIV has been their home church from the beginning because everyone makes you feel so welcome and loved. "We really strive to live out the LIV Mission Statement, Love God, Love People, Impact the World. With that said, we have a heart for youth and for helping prepare them to impact the world. Building an environment where they can come and be themselves and help build a community for them to enjoy and grow closer to God is important to us."

"Be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless."
1 Corinthians 15:58

Murray & Rachel Schlabach

Childrens Pastors

Having 4 kids, we are excited to be working with the kids at LIV. Our goal is to help them grow spiritually and inspire them to shine their light to make an impact on the world. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” We have been married for 19 years and live in the Sugarcreek area. Having 4 kids ranging in age from 15 to 5 makes for an interesting and very busy life. We love anything outdoors and spending time together at the lake.

Duane and Karen Miller

Family Life Pastors

We are Duane & Karen Miller. Our position at church is Family Life Pastor. We started attending LIV in 1991 and got married in 1992. God Blessed us with 4 wonderful sons. We love the people at LIV and were blessed with the opportunity of raising our family here. We love spending time with family and friends, sports, and beach vacations. We look at everyday as a wonderful gift from God and an opportunity to shine God's light everywhere we go. Matthew 5:16, "in the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in Heaven."

Latricia Miller

Administrative Assistant

I have been attending LIV for my entire life, so being a part of the staff is a great honor to me. I really enjoy the work and working alongside others in leadership. I am very passionate about children’s ministry and enjoy assisting my sister with that aspect of our ministry.  Our children are the future. We are hoping to teach the kids just how much our Father cares & loves them. It is pure joy to watch their journey to faith. Matthew 19:14 is just one example of how important God's children are to him.
We have been married for 5 years and we have 2 little boys who we love running after! We like to spend a lot of time outside and hanging out with family. Spare time doesn't happen very often at our house, but I enjoy doing puzzles and making leather products when i do have the time.

Melissa Miller

Media Coordinator

My husband Matt and I both grew up at Light in the Valley and are excited to be back! We were married in 2015 and have been licensed foster parents for almost one year.  We spend a lot of our free time at the race track. Matt has been racing quads for 3 years and we both enjoy the travel and the outdoor life that comes with it.

I'm looking forward to this new role and this next chapter in our lives.  "My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken" Psalms 62:1-2
